stayed at the Pera Palas Hotel on a number of occasions between the years
1915-37. Today, the room he stayed in, Rm. 101 is preserved as a museum.
Istanbul’s Pera Palas Hotel, a favorite haunt of the rich and
famous since its opening in 1983, had a very special place in the life
of best- selling author Agatha Christie. She stayed in the hotel many
times between 1926 and 1932 and one of the best –known stories, Orient
Express, was written there.
